Crispy Salmon Bowls

These salmon bowls are sweet, salty, with a very slight spice to them! The key here is making sure your pan is HOT! That gets the salmon crispy and the sauce to caramelize. The other nice thing about this meal is that it is quick and easy. 30 minute one pan meal that the WHOLE family can enjoy! My kind of dinner.

Crispy Salmon Bowls

Ingredients
  • 3-4 filets of Salmon
  • 1/4 Cup Soy sauce (Use Tamari to make it gluten free)
  • 2 TB Honey
  • 1 TB Gochujang
  • 1 TB minced Garlic
  • 1 TB Oil (for pan)
Directions
  1. Cut salmon into large bite size pieces and set aside
  2. In a small bowl mix soy(or Tamari if making it gluten free), honey, gochujang, and garlic. Set aside sauce.
  3. Get pan really hot. I like using a cast iron pan for this part. Put 1TB of oil in pan so it lightly coats the pan. Then in batches cook salmon in hot pan flipping around 2-3 minutes. Once salmon is cooked place on a plate and set aside until all salmon is done cooking. (note: its okay if its not fully cooked here and about 90% of the way done because you will put it back in the pan to cook in the sauce).
  4. Once all the salmon is done cooking place it back in a pan and pour the sauce on top. Let it cook in the sauce for about 5 minutes or until sauce caramelizes. Stir occasionally to coat salmon.
  5. Serve on top of rice with broccoli or veggie of your choice! Top with sesame seeds and sriracha mayo!
