This nutrition dense dinner leaves everyone happy and satisfied in just 30 minutes! It also makes it seem you are a high end chef but creating a delicious lemon butter garlic glaze on a seared piece of salmon! Impress the family and fill their bellies? Why not!
If you have kids that are above age 10 I would recommend one filet of salmon per person. However, I have just two small children so they split a filet! I love Costco salmon, it’s already cut to the perfect filet and I typically enjoy doing a skin on, the skinless pre-cut were cheaper so we went with those!

Lemon Garlic Butter Salmon
Ingredients:
- 3-4 Filets of Salmon (Three feeds 2 adults and 2 small kids in my family)
- 1 TB Butter
- 1 TB Garlic
- Salt
- Paprika
- Pepper
- Lemon
- Veggies of your choice (I did sweet potatoes, 2 carrots, Broccoli, and onion all chopped)
Directions:
- Heat oven to 400 Degrees
- Chop veggies (I did 1 sweet potato, 2 carrots peeled, 1/2 red onion, 1 stalk of broccoli) and place on a cooking tray. Lightly oil, salt, pepper, and a few shakes of paprika and place in the oven for 25 minutes.
- Next, heat your cast iron pan
- Pat the salmon dry and salt, pepper, and a few shake of paprika on the salmon.
- Once the pan is hot add butter and garlic and immediately place the seasoned side of the salmon down. It’s important your pan is hot so the salmon won’t stick.
- After 3 minutes flip the salmon, carefully, so it doesn’t stick to the pan. Once flipped take the cast iron and place it in the oven for 8-10 minutes or until salmon is cooked.
- After salmon comes out of the oven, zest your lemon over top and then top with lemon juice by squeezing a fresh lemon over the salmon.
- Plat with your veggies and enjoy!
